Life by the Word

Chapter 24

What Did He Die For?

(Dedicated to Kristine Renee Petrecca. Always remember that Jesus loves you and died for you. That is how much he thinks of you, Please don't ever forget that wherever you may go in this life. Your friend, al)

There are many questions in this life that may never be answered. There are many discoveries that may never be discovered. And many so called facts that will be debated and argued over until the end of time. I guess, that is the world we live in. Everybody has an opinion. Everybody believes that they are right. And to some extent I guess that is their God given right to believe so. That is why I have concluded that we will not ever stop imposing our will on one another and stop having wars as a civilization. Because as long as man lives there will always be disagreements on who is right and who is wrong. History has shown us that we are not civil enough in our actions to just agree to disagree and walk away peacefully. So, we fight, we kill, and we argue! All leading to a point of one thing entitled separation. Standards that differentiate us beyond reconciliation. The other night I was speaking with a good friend. She asked why people argue over who the true God is. Recently she had just been blessed with a couple of intriguing conversations with a couple of people who were questioning her Christian faith and beliefs. And was a little confused of why some people were so against what the Holy Bible says. After listening carefully to her for about ten minutes I explained and gently said to her this. I told her that the word of God is true. But unless both parties agree that the bible is the standard to live by you will have conflict. If there is not an agreement that God's written word is the standard there will always be division. And conversations and points of view will conflict. I went on to remind her that the Bible is the only thing our lives that is 100 per cent true. God has shown me that Satan will try and deceive people of the fact. Satan wants God's glory. He wanted it before the beginning of time when he patrolled the place named Eden in Heaven when he was head angel of God's created heavenly beings. (Ezekiel 28:1-19)The fact is he still wants it today. That is why he tries to deceive so many with the lie that is not important to become saved or born again. Whenever we see or reflect on points of history we can tell that the same spirit that dwelled in the heart of Lucifer before he was outcast from Heaven to Earth dwells in many even today and in the past. But is that a surprise to us? It really shouldn't be. Why? You may ask. Because the Bible states very clearly that Lucifer was outcast from Heaven to Earth. Not Jupiter or Mars. God did not send him to Pluto or Venus, but to Earth, our Earth. That is why we read that in the first chapter of Genesis that the Earth was formless and empty and dark and had no light until God spoke into it with His word and formed all things. I know that science has a way of trying to dispute this and perverting the truth about the Holy Bible. But the truth is there was no big bang,  no caveman, and there is no such things as UFO's. All these things are made up to try and discredit the truth of God's Word. That is the mission of Satan and his demons. To lie to us and try and convince us that the Holy Bible is not absolutely 100 per cent true. /files/Glory Stealer/Images/Jesus-is-LORD-Poster.jpegAnd that Jesus is Lord and by accepting his death on the Cross for our sins is the only way we can be forgiven for our actions. Satan doesn't want you nor I to believe these facts. Throughout history wars have been fought. Reasons have ranged from financial gain to political freedom, slavery, hatred for another creed or religion. The list can go on and on. But if we truly analyze why people fight these battles it comes down to one thing. Religious freedom and the right to worship, whom as a people, that we desire to worship. Ask yourself this question. Through out the history of the world, throughout all the wars. Whose side do you think God may have been on through each of these endeavors? Then ask after you answered this question. Who had won that war? God is a God of justice. He is a fair God that understands the truth of people's motives. Even the most powerful of people through history are under the Father In Heaven's rule. That is why I believe that are no surprises to God. He knows who and what we are because He alone created us in our mother's wombs. It is not until we come to that revelation that we can then and only then understand the power of the one that we are praying to. Case in point. A Godman named Jesus Christ is dying on the Cross at Calvary. His face is beaten beyond recognition. His body beaten and whipped so badly that we can still hear and feel the blood spilled over 2000 years later. Yes even today, debates and battles linger on about this one event in history. The Cross at Calvary. The truth Jesus died for you that day on that Cross. He willingly gave up his life so that you could be saved one day and receive the Spirit of Truth.( John 16:13.) There were no surprises either for the Lord or the Father In Heaven. That crucifixion day on the hill called Golgotha. The tree was hand picked by God. Strong enough to handle the sin of the world laid upon Christ nailed to it. The nails were finely sharpened. Enough to penetrate a God man's hands and feet. The lashings and whippings all carefully accounted for. Their number already hand picked by the Creator of Heaven. And the insults, although uncalled for and so cruel. All allowed by God in Heaven. Mainly I believe and have to come to an understanding to show us how much Jesus Christ really loves us and endures for us even until today. You may be a person who thinks they do not need a savior. You may be a mom who patiently waits for her son to come back to God and give his life back to the Lord. Which he now unfortunately denies that he needs to do because of the believing of the deceptions of the world. You may also be a dad who prays and waits for his Prodigal to return. Quietly pleading with God in the quietest of places to have mercy on his lost boy. And hoping and believing his son will have the revelation that Jesus is the only way to the Kingdom of God. Or, maybe you are on the fence and are not sure how to receive your own eternal salvation. Well then if you are one these individuals. This question is dedicated for you. What did Jesus die for you may ask? He died for you and I. He died for freedom. So that we could be delivered from the bondage of sin. He died so we could receive the Spirit of Truth. His Spirit of Truth.  He died so that we can spend eternity of our true maker in Heaven one day. You have to do one thing my friend. You have a choice here to accept this precious gift as your atonement for all your sins. Past, present and future. The choice is yours. The Bible states in John 3:3 that unless you are born again you cannot see the Kingdom of God. Either that is true or it is not. With the Lord that is the one decision you cannot be wrong about. It determines where you are going to spend eternity. Think about this my friend. Jesus states in the Bible that no one comes to the Father but through him. Either the Lord is lying to you or telling you what you need to do to be saved from the place prepared for the devil and his minions called the lake of fire. Put aside your pride my friends. Put a side all the deceptions. Accept what God is trying to convey here in his written word. And understand and be grateful that he would leave behind a 66 chapter book entitled the Holy Bible for us to live by. Thank you Jesus for this beautiful book and love letter for us to learn from, and most importantly love from! Thanks for loving us so much and giving up your life so that we could have one. Love you Lord, You are the King of Kings.  Lord of Lords! Love you. Have mercy Lord. Have mercy. Love you, Al
